Data Vault 2.0 is the prescriptive, industry standard methodology for you to turn raw data into actionable intelligence, leading to tangible business outcomes. Follow our proactive, proven recipe, and transform your raw data into information that will allow you to produce the results that your business find most valuable.
IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ): THIS IS NOT THE RELEASE VERSION OF THE COURSE
This is a very limited beta level access of close to 60% of the new course which will retail for USD 3400. You are getting a substantial discount in exchange for your feedback. As and when the full course is available, you can choose to get certified by paying just the exam fee of USD 800. (The Exam Fee has been included) Authorized instructors Cindi and Sanjay will cover the rest of the course for this closed group at a later date. This may not happen till the end of the first quarter 2024.
* The "course" does not include re-certification
that said - once the exam is available next year, you may (if desired) pay the $800 exam fee and take the 2.1 certification exam. We'll let you know when this is ready. (The re-certification exam fee has been included)
* It is a working session course
which means: I will be stopping, making notes about the materials, corrections to the ideas you are learning, and expecting feedback. Some lessons or modules may actually change during the instruction. I will be asking for feedback and questions frequently about the experience, the materials, the content, and so on - hence the reduction in price.
* Not all the materials will be covered Dan will not be teaching some of the more fundamental components like Hubs, Links, and Satellites in full. There will also be a number of technical sections simply not covered in the interest of time. Again, this is not a full class - it is a working course - meant for materials review and refinement.
Instead, Dan will only highlight new aspects of the training materials, like JSON satellites, JSON staging structures, PSA staging (data lakes), talking about change data capture, and non-historized or transactional links, data arriving out of order (back-dated data), multi-temporal aspects, and so on.
Dan will also introduce other constructs like PITS and Bridges, and agile ways of working (getting data out), and applying generative AI, and AI / ML to predict new associations and find business keys.
* We will try to get through all the new materials, but there is no guarantee Depends on time-constraints, what happens with the materials, and so on. We need to make sure the students understand this.
This is NOT a full course in one shot, but the remainder will be delivered at a later date.
What's new in Data Vault 2.1?
Data Vault 2.1 will mark the next major shift in the Data Vault 2.0 system of analytics and information engineering. As platforms evolve to keep up with the needs of the enterprise and some technology catches up with the Data Vault, there's bound to be an evolution.
Add to this new tooling, new acronyms, new types of data, all coming at higher speeds and higher volumes than ever before, it is creating a great amount of churn. So many foundational principles do not change, but some things do, to ensure easy and rapid adaptation.
Innovation doesn't stop at the technology level, it needs to be done at the architectural level too. The Data Vault has kept up with the trends and it has been ahead of the curve but without compromising on its pragmatic nature.
So, what's new? How do these affect you. Come and experience the beta version pre-release of Data Vault 2.1
